After the date, you are asked to call It's Just Lunch to give them feedback. This information will help them fine-tune your next date with a potential match.
I don't know if they reactivate their dating data base or what happens. And i block the number and they call from another one. If there was a rating of zero stars, then I would have chosen that. I had informed them many times I do not want to go on a date with somebody that far away nor do I want to date a person with children. I told the dating coordinator each time how these matches were not good and it seemed they didn't have anybody in my area for me and I wanted to quit.
If I called someone that many times and they told me they were not interested and did not respond I would stop. I wish I would have seen all of the local South Florida reviews on Yelp before I joined. I believe they don't have sufficient candidates (victims) to set you up with. I wished to date someone within 10/15 miles, yet they set me up on a date that was 40 miles away. It's been nearly a year, and I have only been on one date within the first month. I strongly advise anyone who is thinking of joining this dating service to do your due diligence and check other websites ie. That I would be give profiles of men who matched with me. Would not be just random dates with people you don't match with. She would tell me time and time again they would find me a good date. Unfortunately, she moved on and I got another new dating coordinator. I really thought they were going to actually try now!!! I asked when this phone call had taken place and she told me the date. Furthermore, if she really did call me, I would have informed her I was going to be moving to California and if she'd be able to set me up with the service out there.
I very reluctantly went on a date with one of the gentlemen, who was a very poor match for me.
Later, I read a review on this site from 2010 in which the same man is described!
Early on they called me daily no matter what I said and the calls never stopped. The fourth was obviously not interested in being on this date. The 2 years I have been with this company I've had the worst dates ever! Also, of the dates, very rarely did I have anything in common with them. Some of them literally just stared at me (no lie) and a couple who actually did engage in conversation I found out we really had nothing in common and were clearly not a good match.
I spoke to someone last year and told them I was engaged and not interested and the calls started again this week, every freaking day. This is a cash cow for the company and the employees are unprofessional and untrained. I live in a major city and 95% of the dates they had chosen for me live atleast 2 hours away. They never paid any attention to what I had asked for and would continue to set me up with men with children who lived 2 hours away. One "match" actually sent me half naked pictures of himself the following day so I wouldn't forget what he looked like. It was as if they just picked men at random and gave no thought to who I was matched with. Many times at the dates I would pay the full bill just to get out of there. They were misleading and did not offer to clarify the information. I signed up for IJL six years ago, I never even paid any money. I'm an attractive outgoing woman who likes to hunt, fish, vacation, cook, etc.I just filled out the paperwork and then decided against it after hearing the cost. I didn't think this should be too difficult for them.In over 18 years, It's Just Lunch has set up more than 2 million first dates, with many of them resulting in second dates. Each month for their 30,000 members, It's Just Lunch arranges, on average, 50,000 dates. The Short Version: In the poke-nudge-wink world of modern dating, it can take a lot of time — and energy — to find your perfect match.
